Bluegrass Fever was formed in 2010 by Bob Johns of Chemainus and Barrie Hemmings of Victoria. Both wanted to play traditional bluegrass music. Johns and Hemmings provide lead vocals for the band, with Johns playing guitar and Hemmings on banjo. They are joined by Jan Norton, of Victoria, on the fiddle, and Luann Burton, who plays the upright bass. All four band members provide harmony vocals.
