Whiskey Tango Foxtrot emerged from the island wilds of BC after being shipwrecked on the small island of Denmanistan for many a moon. Their sound is a flurry of vintage remixed music built on laptops, old analog keyboards, and rock instrumentation. We are a 4 piece – Atom Percy (Acid Test, Econoline Crush, Bif Naked, Avro) on keyboards and vocals, Chris Wardman (Blue Peter) on guitar, Eli Hason (DJ Eliazar, Stab Ability) on laptop and turntables, and Tom Mott (My Grey Horse) on bass. Digging the old to build the new, their first EP was focused on remixing vintage music – blues, swing, hip hop with danceable beats. WTF’s latest material has an electronic dance groove with live instrumentation, with a shoegaze, rock, and an experimental sensibility that draws on diverse influences like Gang of Four, The Stone Roses, Boards of Canada, and My Bloody Valentine. Their latest albums is slated for a release in April, with live performances ramping up over the summer.
